hi. i recently moved to tampa area with my son. i live with my mother right now, trying to get my life back together. i left everything behind, which included my social net. i have no friends here yet and would like to meet some other single parents in the tampa area, women or men to hang out with. i am not looking for a relationship. i am damaged goods from the relationship i had with my son's father. if you live in the tampa area, especially pasco county area, please reply. i had no luck finding any support groups for single parents in this area. if you know of one please let me know. thank you. signed, stranger in a strange land

I live in North Tampa and there are many fun things to do in Tampa with other single mom's and dads and their kids. Try calling Parents Without Partners to see when the next event is. They are very friendly and upbeat.
