Hey everyone I'm a 25 yearold single mom of a 8month old. I just moved from NC to the lovely state of Florida (Miami) Not only is everything faster and it seems like I went to another country all together but I really dont know anyone down here. So here I am reaching out for some new friends. He's desperately in need of a playdate.

Welcome to Florida. It must be a culture shock going from NC to Miami. I'm up north in the Palm Beach area and I find Miami to be enough of a culture shock. I only go down there for an occasional concert.

What brings you here? Most of us here want to move up where you came from

Well, I'm pretty much from the opposite end of the country. Playdates will be a challenge, I won't lie to you.

I haven't been up to much ray....just the usual, work and mommy things. And stay away from the cigars....unless you're drinking,....then black n milds are okay but only because they smell good.

I never smoked cigs, just pot and black n milds. haven't touched the pot in 4+ years but every now and then I break down and have a black n mild.

Hey everyone thanx for replying...I came down for the job...A new start and good money. Just didnt know the social life would turn to ish so quick. Like I said I feel like I'm in another country and I dont know a soul. Thanx for the warm welcome..really it was much needed!!!! So what do single parents do to get out the house besides work and the movies...ahhhhhh..lol

Hello there. I am new to this site and new to the florida area as well. I am in H'Wood. Love it so far. Have an 8 year old son who is slowly adjusting to the new location. We are from up north so it is a big change for him. I would love to meet new friends here as well who share many experiences as I do.
