Here's my situation as short as I can make it...

My son is 4 years old now, for his entire life his father has lived in Florida and has managed to "hide" from CSE. My Ohio caseworker tells me that they've located him a few times only to have Florida Sherrif scare him away while being served. He lives with a gf and is an independant real estate appraiser so tracking his home is hard. I'm still in the very begining stages of this process. I need to have him served with the papers telling him to go take a DNA test. Paternity hasn't been established yet so I can't get help from anyone at this point. I want to have a private process server take him the papers but my caseworker here seems to be stupified by the idea that I need a physical paper to give to MY hired guy. When the authorities find him at work or an address the person he is with simply says, "Don't know him" and he quits that job and moves on. This has happened about 4 times now. Florida has closed my case twice and I've tried and tried to do what I can on my own with limited funds. Can anyone offer any suggestions? His name is DUSTIN WILES he lives in/near OCALA,FL. I have more info as to where he works but would like to know if I can write a letter to someone higher up, a congressman or something? I just want him to take the effing test! I know I'll never willingly see a dime of his money (because I recently found out he has a daughter in GA he's never seen, she's 6). He's got a girlfriend now named Sherry Lynn but I do not know her last name. They are in Marion County and you can see in the court records the land deeds/transfers with his name on them as recent as December 2007. If he can buy/sell large real estate items why can't he be served with these paternity papers?!

Desperate for any help...

I am going through the same thing with the father of my son who sives in Tampa, FL. It does not seem that FL wants to do their job. TN has been sending them paperwork for 10 years with no luck. My son is now 13, I do not see an end to this. I have supplied them with every scrap of information they have about him, but they still never respond to TN about status of finding/serving him.

I'm not sure how they handle these things in other states, but in Ohio I went to Child support 9 days after my son was born and this is the path I'm on. I was assigned a case worker who really has been helpful to a point. She seems determined and yet stumped by the fact that I'm doing so much work on my own. I've found his (Dustin's) father and step mom (who are complete a-holes) and I've even managed to find other people he owes money to. I've given all of this info to my caseworker and she seems to just be stuck. She can't give me specifics of her paperwork, but I do have his social security number, and his place of work. Can I contact the sherriff's office and ask them about serving him? wouldn't they have some sort of paper work?
