Hi All,

Some of you might already know me but for those of you that don't - single mom of 2 boys - 11 yrs old and 7ms old in Coral Springs/Fort Lauderdale.

After spending Memorial Day wknd locked up with the kids and no one to go out with or talk to I've realized that we really need to get out there and socialize/make friends/network, etc. I have been in FL for over a year and have had zero luck with meeting any single parents. My life revolves around work and home. I don't have a sitter so I can't go out and socialize, I work with either single people w/o kids, married people or alot older people - 50's/60's - so making friends at work has been pretty much non-exsistent. I joined a separate forum for play dates but not sure what happened with that. So anyways, I'm here because I need to make friends! Yes it's been great to get to know some of you via the net/postings/replies but I need to get out with the kids and do stuff and honestly I don't like going out alone! With the huge age difference with my kids its hard to find something to do where I can take the baby.

So I'll try again - is there any single moms out there that are in similar situations that want/need to just get out with the kids and actually have adult conversations while the kids run around? Maybe bbq in a park, sit at the beach and vent about our ex's as we drink Crystal Light and try to cover up our imperfections, go to the amusement parks, etc?

Let me know and maybe we can all pow wow and figure soemthing out!

Hi! I am interested in a playgroup or whatever.I live in Coral Springs also.I have a 6 1/2 yr old girl.
I am 29,work full time.I,like you,have had zero luck finding other single parents.Most of my time on the weekends is spend just doing stuff with just my daughter.I have tried other "play groups" but it wasnt for me...I have to work during the week/day and they always had play dates,etc during the day so....
So if your still interested in a playgroup let me know....

Wow, 11 to 7 months. I though my spread was hard at 11 to 4. They never want to do the same things or go to the same places. Makes it hard when you are single.
