I need to get a life! I have a 16 year old daughter who would rather be with her friends than mom, which is completely normal, but it leaves me bored and not knowing what to do with my time!!!

I have met some really nice men recently, but they are either in the middle of a divorce, married and just want to play around or they are single but in a relationship! Its depressing to me!!! All I want is to have someone to hang out with, do the dinner, movie, walk on the beach and have good conversations with, kinda thing.

Entering the dating scene at 40 is scary to me! It was so much easier when I was younger!!!!

So....thats where I am at now in my life...wondering...does it get any better than this?!

I almost feel a little like you already, when I realise my son (age 2.5) has a social life of his own...well, kinda.

stay with us and things will change all by themselves, kinda.
Being on SFV gave me new ideas, a new outlook onto life, and well, a new life, kinda .
True, I still have no social life, but I guess you can't have it all. Not all at once anyways.

Hi, flasunshine, and welcome to the site! I know that it isn't easy to enter the dating scene, and being 26 myself doesn't make it any easier! I have made tons of new friends on this site, and am thankful for each and every one of them. I still have no social life except on here. It is a sad thing to admit, but I have grown to respect these people and rely on them for advice and help. They make me laugh, cry and think. They are the best bunch of people I have ever met, even if it is only a cyber meeting!
