Hello, I am new here. This is my first post. I am from West Melbourne. I live off 1-92. I have a 13 and 8 year old boy. I don't have any friends that are not married. I was looking to meet some people that are like me. I am not into the bar scene but tired of sitting at home all the time.

Hi Isabella,
I like melbourne, but for singles, I don't think it's that great, vero seems better, orlando I think is much better as far as singles or nightclubs go or at least it seems that way, I don't get out that much, too busy raising my daughter.

I'm new to SFV, I just moved to Melbourne on Wed 10/18 from Lake Worth in Palm Beach County. I have a 13 year old boy who moved here in August to start school and he has met friends at school and in the neighborhood. I also have a 3 year old girl, by the way - anybody know of a good daycare center, I live off of Eau Gallie and John Rhodes?
I will also be looking for a job, I worked for the family business (a/c & electric contractor) back home for 11 years. I do answering multiple phone lines, dispatching, setting appointments, bookkeeping, etc... Anybody know of a good contractor that could use me? My husband and I seperated in January 2007 after 15 years together, 12 of those we were married. I filed for divorce in June, even though it was him that wanted the seperation (yep - he cheated not once but twice and I know after the first time shame on him and the 2nd time shame on me !)I was totally devastated to know that the man I trusted would do this to me again after he begged me to stay after the first affair (I GUESS THE PROMISE HE MADE TO ME NOT TO EVER CHEAT AGAIN BECAUSE HE SAW WHAT IT DID TO ME AND IT BROKE HIS HEART TO KNOW HE DID THIS TO ME WERE JUST WORDS FROM HIS MOUTH, BUT MY FRIENDS DID SAY ONCE A CHEAT ALWAYS A CHEAT AND BOY WERE THEY RIGHT!!!)I really need to move on and be strong for my kids and as of today I feel stronger and content with life right now. He should get served with divorce papers this coming week.

Hi Penny.
My daughter relocated to Orlando about six months ago. I have been keeping her two kids while she get settled. She recently signed up for daycare assistance and found out there is a six month waiting list and even then it is based on your income and will result in very little help. Does anyone know how much she could expect. We would like to relocate the children to be with her mother but at this time the cost of daycare along with her rent and living expences are budget busters. She is also looking to make new friends and develop a support network between single parents.
