Brotheryyy, do you have AAA? Check out their website for discounts on Disney hotels and packages.

Sorry I can't give you specifics on places to stay but I just noticed that AAA had some nice discount packages.

Hope this helps a little.

Brotheryy,
Yes, check out AAA; however, you are a Florida resident. Go to Disney's website and find out when Florida resident months come around. They are usually right before school lets out and then again after school starts again. You can get some great deals on parks and hotels.

Have you been to Disney with the kids before?

This is a place we stayed a couple of years ago. They are like little bungalo's; complete with small kitchen. In Kissimmee http://www.tropicalpalms.com/

Here is a website and info:
Exclusive Offer for Florida Residents:
Enjoy three days of Disney fun for only $40 plus tax, per day with the 3-Day Play Pass. This pass includes admission to one of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks per day for three days.

No, ive NEVER been there, and its just this nagging feeling that i HAVE to take them before they get to old and develope some kind of emotional hang up because their dad never took them.
I looked at the resort link you sent me and it does look great, especially cause food seems like the greatest cost ill be facing, having to eat out every meal? jeez thats another 5-600 bucks.

Brotheryy,

Food is huge cost. To cut costs we always took a backpack with water bottles, sandwiches, and snacks. when you get into the front gate there are lockers you can rent (same place as the wheel chairs and strollers). Put the backpack in the locker and come back there for lunch. Then splurge on ice cream or dinner later. Unless you spend $$$$$, the food is not much more than glorified fast food in Disney World.

The resort, and many others, have kitchens to make breakfast and prepare foods for taking with you. I have always done it this way to cut costs in order to enjoy bigger and better things. Besides, I like my cooking better.

Oh, one more note. There are great and inexpensive places like, All star resort on disney property but, no kitchens. The link I gave you for Tropical Palms.. that property is a walk from "Old Town" in Kissimmee. There are shops, restaraunts, an old ice cream shop and carnival rides, not real commercial like other areas. If you get the 3 day pass for one park, you don't have to wear yourself out seeing everything in one day, then go back to the bungalo for a rest and walk to old town.

I was thinking of going in a few months. I was wondering if a few flocks would like to get together and maybe cut a few bucks off the costs and have more big people to herd the kiddos. If anyone is interested...e-mail me
My daughter and I have year passes to Universal Studios. It's not too bad they are 17.00 month. We have used them and some.

I love Disney, and was thinking of taking my son before summer hit and it was too hot to do it. Not that it isn't hot here now, but summer will be brutal. Let me know when you're planning your trip, and I'll see if there is anything going on then w/us.

I am going to Disney with my kids at the begining of April. I am going with family that is flying in from Cali.
What we are doing is going to a timeshare presentation. This takes abour 90 mins. Just for showing up and listening to this, I will get 2 disney tickets for $25!!! Yes 2 FOR $25!!!!
After I listen, I'll say no thanks, take my tickets and go to Disney. Beats the $50 each. Smiler
