I can't help you since I live in Gainesville, but there are some in south florida here. Hopefully they will be able to see this and give you some suggestions.

Brittany I live in Palm Beach County. My son was born 9 weeks ago. I am in the process of trying to find daycare myself. Let me know if you have any success. In the meantime, if you are looking for some support in the area, let me know. I would love to come in contact with someone in the same situation as myself. Knowing that you are not alone helps a lot. Hang in there. Sometime it is all you can do. Take Care!!!

Hey KateLaz,
I used to live in Jacksonville, Florida but moved to Virginia. If you go to the county website where you live, you should be able to find a link for child care assistance. Also, if you call DCF or Health and Human Services they should be able to help you out. In Virginia, Health and Human Services has control over the issues of child care assistance, it could be that way in your county. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hey there
I live by Tampa, FL~ but I was told this is about everywhere. The ppl got you on the right track when they said call DCF. They will provide you with FS and Cash assistance!! You can start to get accepted when you are offically 9 months. Then once you are on Cash, you can go to your local Wages office and get into the daycare program. You have to be working/going to school, or am the cash program from DCF. They WILL accept you because you are a PG SINGLE MOM! Plus add that you are on maternity leave and they will surely give it to you! Through the Wages office, they gave me a voucher for $100.00 a month, thats as much as the state will pay for a FT day care baby. Then they gave me a paper on daycares only 5mins away from where I live!! Yah!! Its 138.75, and I only dish out the 38.75 a wk *NOT BAD!!* GL and PM me if you have any probs and I can prolly find all the websites you'll need!
