There has been an open thread on this forum regarding a get-together for central-Florida. I would like to propose a Florida get-together that is in a centralized location. Before we go through the motions of finding a place and planning it all out, I need to know how many here would be interested and willing to come to the Orlando area for a meeting of SFV members, thier kids and any boyfriends/girlfriends? Even Robin expressed interest in attending, but we have not been successful in finding enough people to make this venture worth while. Is there anyone that is interested in this? It would be in the month of March, probably in a park. I need to know who all is interested no later than next Friday 2/25. This will give plenty of time to plan and make arrangements. I hope to be hearing from alot of you really soon!

I am interested. Unfortunately the only weekend we have free (so far) is the weekend of 26th March. If it is in a park or Amusement center my daughter would love it. The conversation before was headed more toward Chuckie Cheese and the likes... she is a little old and I would need nerve pills. I am so happy she outgrew those places. Let me know what you come up with in the way of attendance. If we have to take it into April .. that looks good so far.

I was leaning toward a park of some sort. Probably not an amusement park since it really wouldn't lend itself to all of us getting to know each other. The date may need to be pushed to April due to time constraints. It would give enough time for you to recooperate, cmcguire! Let's see if we can find a few more interested parties and get something planned very soon! I would love to meet all of you and your children! I will extend the deadline for letting us know to the March 5. This gives us a little more time to see who all is interested. Any ideas are welcome and can be pm'd to me. Thanks everyone!

That sounds great. If we can tie a date down soon I can definately be there. Ev will be with me the weekends of the 9th and 23rd of April. The rest of the weekends she will be with her father. The 23rd is far out enough that it is very workable for me.

Sounds good. I go back to work in April, but it is with the schoolboard so i have all weekends free. I can't wait to meet everyone. This is going to be a blast no matter where we decide to go!

April 23rd sounds like the perfect date. I don't have the kid I babysit, but could invite them since she's a single mom, too! If anyone knows any other single moms, please invite them. Maybe when they see how much fun we all have just knowing each other via the web, they'll want to join, too! Save that date, and I'll get working on the location!

whenever is fine with me and the girls...we live smack dab in the middle of town so the logistics won't be a big deal for us.

I've heard that it's beautiful and it has a covered pavillion in case of rain. I'll see if I can check out the county's website and find out...
