Although my ticker says, "I've arrived", she still hasnt. Yesterday was the due date, and not a single thing is going on yet. If she waits until Sun. she and I will share the same b-day.
I go to the doctor today to see whats up, if anything.

ugh don't I remember that feeling! Mine was a week late and it felt like forever. Went to the doctor at 5 days late and was 1/2 cm dilated. I got pi*sed off and went home and pounded the pavement! I must've walked two miles, uphill and down. Started having contractions that night. Smiler
Good luck!

I went to the Dr. today for what I thought would be 1/2 an hour visit. Noooo. I went in at one, and didnt get out until 4:15pm. They did a fetal monitor, and I laid there for 15 minutes before they realized they hadnt put "record" on the machine. So, I sat there again, and they had to see some sort of pattern with movement and heartbeat, but the baby kept moving, and they'd have to adjust the monitor. Then I had to hold it in place, and my fingers started to cramp. If I just had something to eat. They couldnt give me juice because of the diabetes. I told them I was getting pressure sores on my butt. I wanted to cry. Every time they left the room, I'd go "Please come back in and tell me I can go." Finally they saw what they needed to, and let me go. Everything is fine with the baby, but no more dialation going on for the past 3 weeks. If my water breaks and I have no contractions, they will wait 24 hours and then probably induce me. I dont want to be induced again! I thought this time I could do it without that. I still may, but I'm thinking maybe not.
In the meantime, everyone is calling me thinking that I was in the hospital, and in labor. I didnt bring my cell phone with me, because I didnt think it would be a long visit. Sigh! the waiting game. At least I get to spend time with my daughter. Wed. her dad gets her, and then has her for his weeks vacation, so I guess its good timing. He doesnt get her for any extra time. Nyah, nyah. Big Grin Then when the baby comes, I'll at least have some alone time with her before my daughter comes back to me.
Looking up, I am going to try pounding pavement tomorrow, and see if that helps.

Oh I almost forgot about those, now I remember. omg I had to have an hour long one with the twins, I was about to pop literally and figuratively. It took at least 30 minutes to get them to figure out they were monitoring the same baby so had to start again, thought I'd die, literally die! (((((HUGS)))))

Nope. Nothing yet Roll Eyes Yesterday morning, I thought for sure I was having contractions. "This is it", I thought. I got up and did some cleaning, and the pain went away. I just went in for an ultrasound and they said the fluid is fine. She's probably about 8lbs now. My daughter was 6 days late, and now I'm 5 days late. Just sitting here waiting anxiously, and getting bigger and bigger. Thanks for asking, I'll let you all know when something happens.

Still nothing. This morning I said, "She's never coming out." Maybe if I think like that she will come. Yesterday, I thought my water broke, but it was a cool day, and I drove around with the windows open, so it was just sweat. I just want to get the labor and delivery part over with, and finally see and hold her.
To answer meandme's question. My first daughter was 6 days late, my water broke but I had no contractions, so I had to be induced. 26 hours that took, but it only took 20 minutes to push her out. She weighed 7 lbs, 8 oz. I was hopeful about the water breaking yesterday, because then you know there's no going back. I hope not to be induced this time, but hey, if thats what has to happen...
So I guess I'll just keep on tidying up the house, and wait. Today is 6 days late. I told her dad that we need to "fool around" today and maybe that would help. He's all for that, ha ha.

Well, ok. I dont know if this post is going to go through, something seems funny with this site for the past two days. I'm in labor though!!! My water hasnt broken yet, but I've been having contractions all day. Not consistent, so I'm still at home. We'll see what tonight brings. They are getting stronger as the day goes by. I'll keep you posted. Smiler

Good luck with the process. Maybe the doctor will break your water and induce so you can get it over with.

Congratulations! I bet you have had her by now. I know the site has been funky for a few days, and I'm not sure why. I thought it was just me, lol! But as soon as you're home and rested up, fill us in on everything!
Best wishes,
Mel
