At A loss for Words - NOT!

I thought I didnt have any. But when I started to lose weight (3 more pounds and I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight... Yipee!)... I noticed the marks. They're not very noticeable, but I wouldnt put on a two-piece at the beach. Or maybe I would... but the bottom piece would be high-cut shorts to hide the darn stretch marks LOL

When I was pregnant my skin didnt break or have lesions, but it was really red from being stretched. I applied aloe vera gel and cocoa butter on it each time... but the stretch seems to come from beneath the skin. Is there any way I could get rid of the marks?

Yeah sorry I'm so vain LMAO Eeker

I don't think there is anything you can do to get rid of them, but they fade in time (i.e. they lose their redness).

I don't believe there is anything you can to get rid of them completely, unfortunately. I was lucky enough to escape them, but when I was pregnant I would slather on 100% pure cocoa butter every night. I'm not sure if that's what prevented them or not, but I'm sure it helped. I think the elasticity of the skin has a lot to do with it as well.

I guess the thing about stretchmarks is that it doesn't work the same for everyone. I've been putting on a lot of cocoa cream and unfortunately I could not escape them!! With time they will smooth out a little but they will not be gone.

I sort of look at stretchmarks like laugh lines - they indicate that you've lived your life!

I have to thank my grandmother's genes for my stretch marks. I knew I was going to get them but how bad....holy cow. They are 5-6 inches above my belly button and I even got some on my back! I'm 23 and already starting a fund for my tummy tuck in a few years...haha

Dawn...if you so severely embarrassed that you would rule out a two piece all together...they can't be that bad! I went from 115 to 160 lbs with my first pregnancy and apparently the women in my family don't have elastic skin at all. I got stretch marks on my stretch marks.

Good news being...I really didn't get any more from my son....there was no place left for new ones Smiler

Anywho....I hear the mederma helps reduce the scar look, but time is your best friend with the stretch mark. They will never disappear but I began to think of them as war trophy's. I earned them and I'm proud.

Of course...it took me 3 years to get to that point. I honestly looked like I had been attacked by a grizzly bear with mine. Even my best friend looked at me (and she had stretch marks from being overweight and losing it) and said ...they aren't..uh...that bad....(as she tried not to throw up saying it and looked for an exit!).

Time....time makes everything better and where they don't go away they do fade in time....
