I am New to SFV |
So I was getting ready for work the other day and I was looking in the mirror at my stretchmarks. I don't know if you saw the Incredibles (which I'm betting you all have) but I swear I saw the word KRONUS etched into my belly, just like in the part with the cave. i kid you not!! hahaha Anyone else see words or shapes?!? Just a funny thought....

So what is the basic answer, cover stretch marks with chocolate or never wear a bikini again? What about a chocolate Bikini, does that count for something?
Yeah Yeah, I am causing trouble again but I need someone to talk to ebcause everyone keeps getting QUIET on me! |

AT 1 a.m. I was crashing for the night.....after a full day of carrying my laptop around the house and doing holiday stuff.
I'm pretty sure at the rate I'm cooking food....I'll be getting some new stretch marks by tomorrow! Won't be covering them in chocolate or wearing a bikini. I pretty much figure I'll be in a coma at the hospital from overeating. "Hope" is the thing with feathers- That perches in the soul- And sings the tune without words- and never stops-at all... Great, now we all have to go to the hospital the day after Christmas to visit you because we will be soooo worried! Maybe we should tied your hands behind your back so you CAN'T overeat! |

OMG My Stretchmarks are effin' disgusting. I have them all the way across my stomach and they're redish-purple and the go from above my belly button all the way down to the end of my tummy. I put the cocoa butter on every night and every morning for the entire pregnancy, and they're still there. I'm still pregnant now, and I'm soooo afraid of what I'm going to look like after I have this child. I hope they go away. I'm thinking I might need some kind of laser treatment or something to ever feel comfortable showing my stomach again though.

PiercingSerenity,
You sound like me in my first pregnancy. I did the belly butter and cocoa butter and honest it helped keep my skin moist and all so it didn't crack but I still got the stretchmarks. They'll lighten over time and a year after you give birth you'll be amazed at how much your body has recovered. I hate to tell you but it was closer to 2 - 2 1/2 years before I was back in a tankini and I still haven't been in a bikini since but that's because I had another baby and haven't had any "cheerleaders" with me at swimsuit try-on season. It helps to have some gal friends around to tell you the suit actually looks good on you. I thought I was pretty lucky when I lost my pregnancy weight, cause I had no stretch marks on my belly. But then I was able to see my legs and WOW talk about stretchy!!!!! I didnt know my skin had stretched so much.
I am ok with them but I dont ware short's nor do I ware a bathing suit because of all the marks that I have on my legs. I spoke to my dr about it at one part (you know all the question's asked AFTER the fact lol) and he told me a good thing to do is to put baby oil in the water when you have a bath and sit in it for about 10 mins then have a shower. I asked him if this would make them go away but he said no all it will do is lighten the marks and bring some of the skin back together. So with small ones it may work but big one's no it will just lighten them up. Justine, mommy to Nevaeh |

I don't think it's like a stretch mark fetish or anything like that. I just find people interesting for their character and imperfections. Motherhood is a beautiful and wonderful thing. So there is nothing wrong with carrying its marks.
