"Doing what I can"
SFV JUNKIE!!!

I thought I would share my little story with all of you. My water broke at 2:30 a.m. and I was at the hospital by 4:00 a.m. I was given pitocin and an epidural, then at 9:00 p.m. I had hard contractions. At 9:19 p.m. my daughter, Kai, was born. She had the umbilical cord wrapped around her throat, torso and legs. She tore me inside and out and I was given more than 100 stitches. Let me tell you . . . I was in pain for a long while, but it was well worth it. I have a beautiful daughter and someday soon when I have a minute I will post a picture. :baby:

Congradulations on baby. So cool. Sorry you had so much trouble. I delivered 9 kids and one of them I had 5 stitches and 2 with another. The rest none and the smallest one was 7lb 12oz. I even had a couple cords around necks and shoulders. I thought the 5 was bad I can't imagine over 100. Hope you are getting better.

Congratulations shshybug. Glad to hear you're both healthy, despite the horrific birth.

Welcome smshybug!

I had the same kind of experience with my first. I asked the Dr. how many stitches I was getting and he looked at me like he was sorry for me and said "Baby, we don't count these."

It was four weeks before I could sit on anything but the couch. Hold your head up and keep your eye on your trophy, it was well worth the pain!
