So, I have been emotionally flogging myself this week. See, I have this friend. I used to date this friend. He was the only other person I have ever loved other than my children's father. When we are around each other it is obvious to everyone that we still have feelings for each other. The kicker - he married someone 8 months after we ended (I ended) things. She offered to marry him because his student visa had been revoked and now they live a very turbulent life. The other issue is that his brother is my best friend's husband. That's how we met. So.....

Everytime I see him/talk to him I have these horrible feelings about another woman's husband. I swore I would never have that problem (first mistake maybe). I love the Lord and am so angry with myself for having these adulterous feelings. I know I am forgiven but I can't keeo feeling like this about myself everytime we talk.

So today, I ended the friendship. I explained my pain and my lack of self-control. I know he will respect my decision. I am just a little down because I know it is my fault that I have lost a great friend.

Good Girl. I for one, am So "Proud" to know you.

Thanks guys. I feel like cr*p but only because this is a 4 year long friendship. But it will pass. I keep telling myself how tough I am. Right now I am not feelin too tough though.

Just read this, I'm very very proud of you b/c I know that it is very hard to fight temptation like that. Just remember that when you feel your knees buckling at your decision we are here for you and support you 100%. Think of us as your back-up 'sponsers'...the Big Guy upstairs the first call you make.
