No one can stop me now!!!!
Posted
I am struggling today.
I woke this morning to the news that a friend had lost her battle to cancer. I really believed she was going to beat it.

She was feisty and funny and determined.
A single mom to twin toddlers. A part time college student, Thirty-five years young.
She lost a aunt 2 years ago to breast cancer so in a need to support her mom and push her to have a mammogram she had it done as well. Her mom was clear. My friend however had a tumor that was spotted on the mammogram, the biopsy showed if to be malignant and she started the treatment protocol right away. That was July of this year. She did everything she could to win the fight, but lost the fight.

Then is a random coincidence a friend I havent heard from in many monthss sent me an email yesterday. Which was wonderful to hear from her again. This morning I found she had sent me a very emotional email.
One of those heart-wrenching stories that get forwarded all over meant to give us all pause and appreciate our lives and those in it.

As a cancer survivor I feel many things today swamping me. Blessed for all I have been granted, appreciative for all my experiences, a need to accomplish, and a need to not waste anything, and very very sad for my friend and her boys, all those that loved her.
I dont know the purpose of this post beyond maybe a reminder to smile and count our blessings. I was blessed to have known her.
I am going to the garden center to buy a batch of white tulip bulbs to plant in my side garden.  they were her favorite, and I want a way to celebrate who she was.

No need to comment I just needed a place to put the words.

Thanks. It is a weird day . I want to focus on all the good stuff.
I have been on the phone and chatting with friends most of the day, we all shared a friend who is now gone and it keeps hitting us that one of our own is gone.
She touched more hearts then I thing she was aware of.

Lots of prayers Harmony. As you know I have been through my own losses in my life and it is difficult at times. My prayers also go out to her family and friends.
I think the tulips are an awesome idea and she will help them grow. I have many flowers and scenes in my gardens for loved ones lost and it brings me great piece when I walk through them.
God bless.

thank you all :grouphug:
I found the tulip bulbs after two garden centers and a Nurseries center - at Walmart.
I told several of our friends and they all thought it was a great idea and want to do the same. So we cried some more. :grouphug:
Walmart sale report is going to seem odd - this run on white tulip bulbs.

Tomany2count I was thinking of your garden a few days ago hoping you had taken some pictures of it this summer, and wondering how the new house was coming.

Planting the bulbs felt really comforting.
