"Just call me daddy." Lively & Zealous Parent |
Has anyone here read this book? I'm about half way through and really am having a hard time putting it down. I can't wait to get home tonight and read some more, I probably won't stop until I finish lol.
http://www.amazon.com/Curious-Incident-Dog-Night-Time/d...id=1214354428&sr=8-1 It's written from the perspective of a 15 year old boy with autism, who is being raised by a single father. It's definitely striking home here, like looking at a mirror sometimes but the mirror is autistic. It's kind of breaking my heart a little bit, but I'm hoping it has a happy ending. |

Board Blazen Parent |
I have never heard of the book before, but I will be heading to Borders tonight! I have read a couple of books written by people with autism and I always find them so helpful! It's kinda nice to get an idea of how they feel because they can't always tell you.
I have a kid that I babysat that is autistic, (he's 16 now) and I love sitting and talking to him because he is now old enough that he can kind of tell me how things feel to him and it has helped me to understand Miah a lot! |
