My taste typically runs a little left of center on most things. I'm a chick yet I can't stand most chick flicks. So let's see.......

The Jacket
Children of Men
Underworld
All the Harry Potters
All the Saws
Blood and Chocolate
The Illusionist
American History X
Deja Vu

Then of course there's the classics that all children of the 80's loved......

The Last Starfighter
ET
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (yeah I know it's 70's but still an excellent movie)
Firestarter
Misery
Superman (the original of course)
Clue

Then there's the ultimate movie of all time..........
Rocky Horror Picture Show!!!!! (MUST be seen in an old movie house with others that dress the part)

I'm like everyone else, can't just pick 3 ...

I'm a child of the 80's so pretty much any John Hughes film (Breakfast club, Weird Science ...)

Action Flicks:
Predator, Alien, Die Hard, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Blade Runner, Star Wars ...

Comedy:
Deuce Bigalo (The foot scene is the best), I Now pronounce you Chuck and Larry, Christmas Vacation ...

And of course dramas that take place in just one locale, like Albino Alligator and another that takes place in either a comic book store or antique store (can't remember the name).

Oh and Angel Heart.

There's a huge list of others that I just can't remember, can't bring it down to just 3 though.u

NormaJ I'm the same way with back to the future! I could probably watch the entire movie in my head right now if I concentrated hard enough. If my kids wanted to watch that movie every friday I'd be in heaven. Unfortunately I went to put it in the DVD player this weekend and it didn't work! Mother ##$*@*&@! no scratches or anything, what the heck!?!

Too Funny...I was actually going to mosey into this thread today and add that movie....
I get a lot of funny looks in this neighborhood with lines from that movie..

"Where da white women at"....
"Hold on while I whip this thing out"....

For Moosey...& others too...
Take that DVD and clean with a childs wipe and them wipe it dry with a clean paper towel...wiping from the center out and go all the way around it.
I stumbled on this a while back and it's the only way I clean my DVD's and works every time.

Wow how could I have forgotten the Goonies? I had a t-shirt with Chunk on it and it said "I smell ice cream!" lmao. Joey I absolutely loved What Dreams May Come and I never get tired of it considering all the manifestations of the wife's art. There are few movies that have such a visual concept and since that movie, when I see a painting that I like really well, I always invision what it would be like to live in it. Crazy I know but it works for me....lol.
