Tonight I was locking up the yard...and I walked out in the dark...breezy, still warm air from the heat of the day and got in my car. I had parked on the street when I came home. So I sat in there and started it ..and notice I had left a drink cup that had been filled with an Iced drink just a little while ago. I picked it up still feeling it was rather full light shook it. I could hear the iced liquid still rattle agains the side ...and I pulled it up to my mouth and took a really long drink through the straw.......

Ahhhhhhh I really love Red Fruit Punch...LOL

And it got me thinking of all the little simple pleasures that God has allowed me to learn to appreaciate. So I want to start a "little" list 3 items a time....starting like this:

Man, I REALLY LOVE:

RED Kool Aid
Strawberry shortcake Ice Cream Bars
and Frosted Flakes..:P

Man, I Really LOVE:

Staring at pretty eyes over the rim of a glass of wine.

Watching my kids face when I get them a gift they wanted...just because.

Harvest/clipping some of my fresh grown Basil.

Man I really love.....

Baby giggles. Is there any better sound in the world?

Ice cream faces. The kids all 3 have chocolate on their mouths right now from cones.

Reading a book I've been excitedly waiting to be published.

The feeling of a first kiss with somebody new.

Friends who love you enough to make fun of you when you're being ridiculous.

The first time your child moves inside you and you KNOW there's an entirely new person in there.

Being front row center for all the "firsts" in somebody's life.

This made me think of Alex's pre-school graduation. He was all dressed up in a suit and Katie got a brand new dress. Somebody left the microphone on and when nobody was looking Katie (almost 3 at the time) pushed a chair over to it, grabbed it and sang "Jesus Loves Me" to they entire crowd. Everybody stopped talking and applauded her when she was done.

Priceless huh?

Aw ...come now...you just made that up...LOL

The cool dark evening atmosphere after a hot summer's day, looking out at the vastness of the universe.

That feeling you get when you find knowledge, the kind that opens new doors and offers new direction and purpose.

The smile on someone's face when so sincere and heartfelt that it just lights up their eyes.

I love

The sound of Daddy, Daddy, Daddy from a bunch of kids when I come home

Hugs and snuggles, even from the older ones

The silly fights of "my Daddy" they get into.

Sunsets and Sunrises Any where beach mountains or boat

Watching the clouds go by

Before I got divorced, my kids used to come running out the door when I got home in a mad rush to see who could tag me first!

What is funny is when they start listing who's daddy I was first and when it is a 27yo and a 9yo.

Hearing Charlie say 'I Love You Mommy' a dozen times a day.
Knowing he has come into my room in the middle of the night, because of a bad dream and waking up before he even reaches the bed.
Having him ask if he can make his own breakfast.
Charlie moving the arm of the seat in the theater so he can snuggle next to me while watching a movie.
Hearing the words 'I'm Cap'n Jack Sparrow Luv' out of the mouth of a 7 year old.
