And I mean it.

Come on guys, who of us is not dreaming of a perfect classical family: a wife and husband who come home early enough to have time to play with the kids after school or to make homework, then have dinner together.
Spending the weekends together doing outings, or just sitting in the garden and talking about future plans, ot common friends, or just not talking and just reading a good book or watching the flies (while the children are happily playing in the far corner lol).
Happy children with satisfied parents who can deal with the normal level of conflict in a family.
Occasional social events, friends, extended family.

just normal life .

Getting My Feet (Board) Wet
Posted Hide Post
I think that the existence of this board represents the fact that we are all dreaming of a "better" life for our children & ourselves. This board and the messages it contains are a communal sigh, one that says, "Hey, this wasn't the dream I had for my family, but I still have hope and i'm doing the best I can". It's a support system for those of us who aren't living our dream, isn't it?
Speaking for myself, I still pray all the time that my almost-ex will change, and I can go back to being WIFE and mother. I wonder daily if, before single-parent families erupted as the 'almost norm', were they better off? Were they happier? Were those children promised a better life? Future? I don't know.
