You wanna hear something funny? In one of my sociology classes, we were learning about "attraction," and they have done studies that indicate that women are more physically attracted to the big, tough, rugged types, but want to marry the guys who are sensitive, stable, and reliable. They say that it is because nature wants us to have strong, healthy children, but have them raised with a secure father-figure. Interesting huh?
Anyway, I've also dated a lawyer, so I instantly cracked up at what you wrote. Yeah...they have their own sub-culture and no, they are not far-off from a used-car salesman (they just get paid more, that's all).
I have dated just about every caliber of men possible, but have only had relationships with a few. I think you have to have that physical chemistry with a guy, but with us, it can develop when we fall in love with their personality. And we're all different. We all have different needs in a partner's personality. For me, the guy HAS to have a sense of humour, preferably a dry one, and he has to be smart or at least well-informed. A nice set of shoulders is always nice. Always did have a thing for arms...kind of like...what was that cartoon guy's name, "He-man?"

I am so with you on the big arms and shoulders. Thats probably my biggest physical hang up. Give me a man who can put his arms easily all the way around me and make me feel like I am a the littlest most precoius thing and he is protecting me from all. Even if its just for a few moments of the day or while we sleep..Its like heaven..ok need to stop where was I going with this??
Oh yea I as going to say why cant we have a guy who is a little bit of both? SOmeone who can fix a car ..and helps with the kids and meals.
Someone with A sense of humor that makes you turn pink. Would protect his family at all costs but is also very sensitive.
Knows how to fix the clogged dran but can also have a great conversation about life.

Physically the lawyer type usually doesnt "do it" for me.
So suppose between the two choices I'd have to pick rugged..ButI would want Rugged-sensitive. I guess I'm just sopiled but I want it all in a man.

I don't really go by type. I have been through a few types. Of Course, the rugged type has a great initial appeal.

I know. Unfortunately most of the guys who fit that description are also looking for a guy with big arms. Okay, I'll probably get in trouble for that. Seriously though, it's like men have turbo-testosterone or they are an estrogen laten cocktail of hormones and will probably drive us crazy competing with what color of roses to plant in front of the house. I, for one, am all in favor of cloning. Personally I'd like a replica of that Vin Diesel guy programmed to cook and clean like Martha Stewart.
