I haven't seen anything similiar and thought I would share. Maybe someone else will also share places/events that are inexpensive or free and family friendly. My family keeps telling me I'm the queen of frugality. LOL

OK:
March 1 - 5
Attleboro
Attleboro Museum Garden Show
$3 adult/children free

Events include: Garden show, art exhibit, kids area, puppet show (sunday), cafe

There's more. We have been going every year since DD was 4 and she loves it. The kids area has all sorts of activities.

Another one:

March 11
Taunton
Taunton VFW - Pow Wow

I believe this one is free, but there is a number to call at wanderingbull.com (just click the pow wow link at the top of the page)

If you've never been to a pow wow, you should go to at least one. They are a lot of fun and very culturally educating.

There is Native drumming, dancing, singing and vendors. You can buy items from $1 and up. Some have Native food, though I don't remember this one as having anything like that on the menu.

I'm up by the New Hampshire border...I'm still watching the board, but not as much as I used to. Any other Mass parents still here?

Hi AngiesMom,

The Taunton Pow Wow at the VFW hall on March 11 sounds like fun. Are you going to go? I just got a change in court ordered visitation and have my daughter next Saturday and would make the trip down. I think that she'd really enjoy it.

I went to one years ago in the old Wonderland Ballroom in Revere. It was alot of fun.

I think it would be fun to get together. Maybe we can even talk BigBobby into coming down too.....

Heh...sorry that I've been inactive lately.

I am going to be little bobby-less this weekend, however, and I don't think that a pow-wow would quite be the same without him.

I'm also a lot busier than I used to be...jeez...I used to always say that my dating troubles were temporary, and after I crossed over the 30yo line my fatherhood would be less of a problem and my popularity would soar. Who knew how true it'd be! Like heat-seeking missiles these 30yo women are...

Later,
Bobby

Hey guys -- YES I will be at the Taunton one and easy to find as I'm one of the vendors Smiler Doesnt allow me much time to dance as much as I'd like BUT gives me some time to socialize when the customers aren't knocking my tables down. Oh wait, thats my lil one LOL. Anyway, I guess my answer is yes and theres more coming up as the pow wow season is starting to get under way. Watch the thread and I'll post more as I find them out Smiler

Bobby -- watch out for those missils Wink I listen to some of the ladies I am acquainted with and the attitudes skeer me!!! My new decision is if the only thing out there are what these ladies describe, I'm staying single!!!!
