I'm new to this site. Just signed up. Newsly single at least physically no partner since Saturday. But I guess emotionally and mentally I've been single even before the baby who is 8 months. Been going a little "crazy" staying at home day in and out with the baby thinking about the break-up. I hope chatting on-line with other people going through the "same" things will help. I also hope to make some new friends.

Hi everyone! This is my first post. How exciting to be amongst fellow single moms! I'm 25 and live in Leominster Mass and I have a 2 yr. old son. My roommate is also a single mom, 22, with a 2 yr. old son. Talk about the perfect roomie situation! But we feel like we are alone in the universe. None of our friends have kids and we have been dying to meet others. If anything, I'm so happy to have found this forum. God could I use a good place to vent!

I newly single after a 3 yr. realtionship with my son's father. I am a single mother by choice and that is tough, emotionally, sometimes. I work full time and my son goes to daycare full time, a great daycare, THANK GOD, I went through a horrible one before this one. And I don't have much of a social life, but when I do get to do things "as if I were pre-baby" its like I get a taste of it and want more. But you can't have it like it was, so it can get frustrating, a double edged sword if you will. Anyone else feel that way?

The main reason I joined this site was because I had a question about Scholarships. I want to take a class and I dont know of any reputable scholarships or grants availble for single mom's. I have done searches on the web, but I was just curious if anyone knew of any?

I'm a 22 year old mom of a 20 month old and we live in Townsend. I did go back to school at the Mount after my son was born (while working two fulltime jobs) and I filled out the Fafsa form and I got approved for aide, the is a grant called the PELL grant....i believe that is just ofr single moms. Another friend of mine got that when she was going to school at Bridgewater State. I dont know anything else, as to how to get it but I hope that kind of help. I'm sure you could do a search for it and find it. Anyways....if you ever want to talk let me know. Its nice to find someone so close! Good luck!
