Relax? For the past few months...I put on some good music (typically Motown or Soft Classic Rock) and get on SFV! I've also been known to take a shower (no bath here Frowner ) and then wrap up in the most comfortable pajamas, with the most comfortable pillow and blanket and turn off all the lights. Sometimes even in the middle of the day it's nice to pretend that it's night time. Night time is when all my cares can go away.

First off, welcome Angie. Okay so now...

I watch TV and curl up in a flannel throw. Bubble baths never meet my expectations. A glass of wine is really all I need and that is only rarely.

Apparently almost anything with water does it for me sauna, hot tub, aroma baths, but I used to love the tanning bed, most music but a glass of white wine with any of these activities certainly doesn't hurt after a 14 hour day at work then about another 4 at home before bedtime.

I agree. I'm a water person too. Summers I love because I usually take my son to the waterfront, buy some lunch and eat it while watching the cruise ships, helicopters and water-planes, come and go by the dock .. he loves it and so do I.

Winters it's a bit of a drag. I tend to net surf or I'll read a book here and there whenever I'm feeling driven.

A little classic rock/Soul/Motown or some decent 80's stuff.
Going to the local airfields and watching the planes disappear to far away places and dreaming.

I love to just sit outside and look up at the stars. It helps me know that no matter how big my problems seem, the world is much bigger than me. It also makes me remember being a kid and having my grandpa try to teach me about the stars. It really is sad that I didn't retain more of what he tried to teach me!

Ty's Mom- I did forget about the stars thing until you said something! I like to watch them a lot and we have a lot of clear skies out here to do just that- I have really been wanting to buy a telescope to be able star gaze and see far off galaxies and such...well, maybe this year I will!

Reading. I love to read. All types of books. I lose myself in a book and I am happy.

Yes I really like to read too,as I had stated before-the only problem is actually being able to have time to concentrate on reading with kids around! I really like to read novels that are set in historical periods, you actually learn a lot! I love Sidney Sheldon's books too!

I love reading. I get most of my reading in on the commute to work...one of the perks of public transit

I really have to think for this one. I think I almost never REALLY relax.
I always pretend to be relaxed though, but I don't necessarily succeed in that.
Relax...I suppose I relax a little when I answer posts like this, because it makes me think about myself and how I go through life.
The only time I relax a little is probably when I sleep, but even then I always expect a cry from the other bedroom and I will automatically jump up, then consciently pause to see if he can go back to sleep without me.
No, relaxing is not one of my priorities I guess.
Wink
