This is day one for me. I usually smoke on my way home from work bf I pick up the kids and when they go to bed I go outside and smoke. My sister told me with all the hiding I should just go ahead and quit. Because I don't smoke in the house or in the car with the kids. But in my mind I just feel like it relaxes me after a long day. But I have a maga pack of gum in the place where the ashtray once was in the car. I took it out and got rid of the ashtray in the garage also. I CAN DO THIS (i think)

I started smoking again about a month ago. Worst it ever has been...about a pack a day. Expensive, but since I haven't any money now...I've quit again. Today is my first non-smoking day. I have peppermint sticks here to help me through. I hated that I started again, but it made me feel so much better with all my stress.

aunder ~ you go! I really really want to be able to say that.

sky ~ stress does make it hard, but I think the smoking is worse on it than we think.

I continue to cut back...then something happens and I smoke again. I want to quit!!

My kids hate it. When I go out on the balcony to smoke, my youngest will try to block the door. I feel like such a heel....

*sigh*

I **** at quitting smoking, that's all I can say.

Seraphin, good luck! Each time you try to quit your chances go up!

And if I stopped doing all the things I associate with smoking well....... hmmmmm??????? I do hate the sneaking though and my kids are just getitng too sly to hide it from them much longer.

1/2 way through day 2. Seem to be doing alright, although I do have that craving to be munching or doing something ya know? I think I started smoking do to stress AND boredom. It's like when I had a craving for something different my mind associated it with a cigarette. I do like that I bought the old fashioned stick candy (peppermint sticks). They do seem to help and they don't upset my stomach or hurt my jaw like gum.

hello there!
i started smoking since 98 until i met my gf...
she's the only person whom i listened when it comes to quitting.
my parents tried it, my sisters, my bestfriend but i still continue.........

well....from 10 sticks/day before...not anymore.
but there were times that i am craving for a stick or two..i still ask for permission and she let me smoke at least 1 stick.....

im glad i quit..i dont know what wil happen if i continue smoking....
