Totally ready for the weekend as well.

Sounds like a fair enough deal on the backrub/beer exchange though can I trade the remote for a neck massage.

Sera, I imagine they've gotten it figured out by now where your car is, guessing you probably just called them?
Here's where I admit to keeping a spare key to my truck, and front door to the house in my wallet. Luckily never have used the truck key, though I've used the house key at least a half a dozen times. I have locks that still turn from the inside even though they are locked, so yes several times I've walked out to grab something only to lock myself out. Red Face

Don, sounds like it is time to replace those old knobs. Don't want to get caught outside...... w/o your wallet.

The weekend is a little less than 3 hours away. Not that I'm counting the minutes.

This has to be the first time I have heard a man admit that he'd give up the remote! I'm gonna have to make a note of that.

Oh Don! I wish I could make that trade..but I stink at back/neck/most anything rubs (insert SFV PC censor here--use your own imagination at what I don't include).

I suppose I could try...that way I could watch all my girly shows. Wink

I've only locked myself out of this place once...and thank God my Uncle (who lives up front) was out of town just to make things that much worse! I did however give him a spare key that I was able to get to. I had all the keys I needed to get in here but 1 that day!

The thing is it is very new door, and security screen door and some of the better locks on the market. The downfall to them of course is that they will turn on the inside even if they are locked Frowner At least I am now finally in the habit of testing the knob from the outside before actually shutting the door.

At least you have learned your lesson! LOL! Those are the locks or door knobs like they have in the hotels, right?

Yeah, similar to that, in that the inside still turns whether you have actually unlocked the knob or not. Guess I am lucky that I never did get locked out without my.....wallet.

LOL Don.. I remember once leaving the house with my hands full early in the morning and accidentially left the keys on the table by the door. I got out to the car, fumbled for my keys, realized my error, went back and realized I had locked the front door on the way out. I dumped all my stuff on the ground, hopped the fence and broke in thru a back window I knew was still open. I felt like such a dork.

Oh yeah and they found my car alright, but I typo'd my phone number so they couldn't get a hold of me. Good thing I had to leave work early to meet a plumber at home, so I called the shop to tell them I needed my car back, and they were like "Oh thank god you called!" I had to cancel the repairs, but I still got my oil change lol. Apparently the "little light" (looks at B) meant that I had burnt my solinoid.... what the heck is a solinoid and is it important? Anyway they said it would take a week to get the part. Darn me for buying the first model year of a car... they don't keep the parts in stock!

A solenoid, helps keep car starting and running. It helps out your battery.

It is important. I found one for less than $20 for my car and installed it myself...just a thought.

So that's what happened? You spent time learning how to work on your car instead of practicing neck massages. Smiler

I have the same issue with my door locks. My old house you couldn't turn the knob from inside when it was locked, I still have not got use to then turning when locked. I gave up on it, now when I'm in the house I use the bolt lock, that way if I go I know the door will be unlocked.

Side Note - Any one got a snow plow, I'm snowed in? How old does a child need to be before I can make him shovel the drive?

Lets be serious here, B, I took my car to a shop just because the little light was on and it was distracting me! I don't even know what a solinoid is or where I would find one in a junkyard. Heck, I don't even know if I would find one that would fit my car! I am much better off going to the dealer and letting them do it. Thats why I got the extra warentee, so I don't have to think about these things.

Both results of not having a full time man around. Call it a "side-effect."

With your junkyard comment (I was originally referring to an AUTO PARTS STORE to get a solenoid) I will just say that your car is lucky to have a warranty Big Grin Hey, I used to be igonorant about cars too, until this last year and a half. I have learned about my alternator, solenoid, battery, battery cables, transmission, brakes, brake pads and springs......I'm sick of knowing what I know b/c it's never the same thing that breaks twice!
