Kara,

Here are my questions for you so I can help you. What is his breastfeeding schedule currently? Does he drink from a sippy or a cup? Has he ever taken a bottle?

I have an almost 6 month old boy and I need to go on a two weekend course in 1,5 weeks. He is fully nursing now and flat-out refuses a bottle (he plays with it but won't drink from it). He is taking baby cereal with formula eagerly.
Everywhere I read the advise to have someone else give him the bottle so he won't expect and want to be breastfed, but I have no one available to do this. Any suggestions and advise? Anyone who successfully weaned as a single parent when they wanted to (had to) rather than infant-indicated?
Thanks!
Anita
