Hey,

I was just wondering if anyone else..male or female has trouble speaking to the opposite sex? I am a 26 yr old male, with a gorgeous 5 yr old daughter named Larissa. I consider myself to be fairly good looking, but I have found it increasingly difficult to talk to women. I don't have many friends where I am, and I feel that women won't want to talk to me when they find out I am a single dad. Feeling isolated, because I know that I deserve someone....but where are they and how do I meet them if I cannot talk to them? I would LOVE to have some advice on this...please? *smiles* take care. Smiler

I am with you on everything you just said. I am a single mother of a 4 yr. old boy. Have been from the time i found out i was pregnant. I have many male friends. Most of them i had before i became a mother. Most are pretty cool. The new guys i know keep their physical attraction at bay but are decent friends to talk to...

I would love to find a guy that is easy to talk to as well as not afraid to have a commimtment with a mother and her child.

I have always had better luck having male friends then female. Sometime women are just to fickle. Smiler at least the ones around here.

Anyway i don't know how to really have a conversation with a guy who has potential of being more than friends. None around here seem to want relationships with mothers.

I guess i was really not much help but there are others out here in the same position.

i can completely see where both of you are coming from i have been a single mom since 6 weeks pregnant my son is just turned 3 in april all my male friends ive had since childhood and are more like brothers but what is up with people today its like when you have a child your all of a sudden damaged goods?? i dont understand that i personally think it says something about a person when they make the best out of bad situations i mean anyone can produce a child but it takes a real special person to raise that child and be mommy or daddy. i mean especially when your doing it alone cuz then you have to be both and you struggle so much to make ends meet but you always find a way for your childs sake.

A good way to meet people in your area is to join or volunteer at organizations that interest you. You may try not looking for "the one" just focusing on being comfortable in conversation with the opposite sex.

Good Luck
