Just a quick question... is it possible to like somebody so much but be afraid to go out with them? Or maybe for the guys, you're afraid to ask them out? Why is this so?

I think it's possible to like someone a lot and yet be too afraid to ask them out. I have someone on that list but there's no way in ****, or with any amount of alcohol, that I would ask

plus what girl would want a guy with out a spine.... This afraid to ask a girl out thing should be a red flag go for a man that will stand up and say what he feels and take a chance to get what he wants rather then run at his fears.... Sure every guy gets those "oh no thoughts" right before asking a girl out. but a grown man will move past that |

It's okay Sarah... you're a girl. We're the ones who get asked out.  But if a guy is the one who's afraid to ask a girl out, that's kinda weird. I asked this question because this guy friend of mine has been texting me and saying that he wants to see me and talk to me. Since I havent seen him in months, I tried to set a schedule but he hasnt been confirming. I then learned from a mutual friend that he really likes me but he was afraid to go on a date with me. Like huh?? Why? Duh...  |

I dunno I think guys get nervous too. I know I have been interested in men before but there was no way I could work up the nerve to ask them out. I can't imagion being a guy and always doing the asking. Hmmm but you're actually trying to set a schedule with the fella, he should at least confirm something. Maybe he just needs to get past the first date...I dunno.

Oh yeah... I forgot to add... this isn't the first time this happened to me. So far there are THREE guys who have done this. They keep texting and reminding me that we are still up for a date but they never set it!!

Kudos to any guy that can ask a girl out....I know I am too chicken to make the first move- at least anymore. I used to be good at making a first move- but over the years, rejection hurts, and well- I guess sometimes its easier to wish someone would ask me out than it is to ask them out myself and face potential rejection!
