met online, no memory if we met in person or not, i started a monogamous relationship soon after, so i dropped all other suitors. 2 years later his random "thinking of you" e-mail arrived.

i bought a new computer so i have no ability to look through old e-mails to jog my memory. his photo screams "not my type" but he is funny and clever and persistent.

i am torn - i dont want to date him or anyone else ever. sad but true. but i dont want to model to my daughter a bitter jaded man-hating shrew. i would like her to have siblings.

part of me thinks i should go for a walk on the boardwalk and give him a shot - there is no pressure since i have no feelings for him and it is good practice. yet i dont want to take advantage of him, if i feel nothing i should just cut him loose (which i thought i did) having been used in the past (haven't we all?) i never want to do that to someone else.

the fact that i am reacting with dread instead of glee makes me just want to bury my head in the sand - but that wont make the issue disappear, it just prolongs the agony by pulling the band aid off slowly...
