I have found that lately I am receiving some "nice" looks and smiles from guys. It's kind of nice but I get this icky feeling in my stomach when they talk to me. Like I think I might be ready but then my gut tells me "i don't think so." I am having trouble fighting this feeling. I know I am not ready for anything too serious but I don't want to be single forever. I will admit that I do still miss and care for my ex, I mean he is the father of my child, but I also don't have any contact with or intend to contact him. Anyone know how to make this easier!?!?

Sorry I don't know that does get any easier. I thought I was ready to date and went out with a nice girl but it just doesn't seem right/real sometimes. I am going to see her again and we are taking it slow, but I think it will be a long time before it seems natural/normal. I sometimes worry about having to raise my kids and growing old all by myself. I have even questioned whether or not I should get back together with the ex, just so me and the kids didn't have to be alone. Thank the lord I came to my senses on that one. LOL. Sorry I know that this probably isn't much help but I thought I would try.

Well I have re-thought this whole dating thing and I don't think I'm ready. I just can't see myself with anyone right now. I think some more time just focusing on my daughter and myself is needed.

I, however, have a friend who insists that he wants to marry me. This has become a big problem considering that I do not feel the same way about him.

I had a complete stranger tell me today that I am beautiful. I was getting coffee where I get it every morning and this guy just said, you look very beautiful today. And no, it wasn't the cashier. Smiler Kind of perked up my morning.
