I'm only 21 and would like to start dating again, but I feel not alot of guys around my age are going to interested once they find out about my son. when is a good time to tell someone about your child. I feel I should be honest, and tell them right away. but I want them to get to know ME and not dwell on the fact that I have a son. I have been with my son's father until recently (about 4 1/2 years) so I feel so out of the whole dating scene. Any suggestions?

Dont think so hard about this...

Having a kids may not get you a date every night but it does let you date only the right kind so you do it right. That is dont make an announcement about it, or wisper it. It just is, like your height, size of your shoes, color of your hair.

Bring up your child in conversation as you would talking with "just a Friend". If he get scared off, then you just weeded out " A whole lotta grief You didn't need anyway" then take your kids out to dinner and to a movie.

Turn them on to the stuff you like, like maybe Sci-Fi - Star trek movies, eat popcorn.

When they are real young- you can show them how to throw popcorn up in the air and catch it in your mouth, and if it hits you in the eye ... they will laugh, you will laugh, and you just created a GREAT memory!
:P

Personally I have alway been up front. I tell them I have two children and if they run - then thats their loss. At least I know that I'm not wasting my time. And who cares if they do run - it just means it was never meant to be. Just wait and see the right one will come along.
Good Luck!!!
