My daughter is 2- her dad and I aren't together- it's an entirely too long story. He is not a part of her life- and that's by his choice. He still comes around, though, and I know he will always be my first love- but for several reasons it will never work. How do I move on? And what do I do about the damage from that relationship that I KNOW will affect future relationships? I feel very lost about the whole thing. I tried e-harmony- sadly disappointed....any advice?

I know it must be lonely, but my advice would be to not look for a while. I would focus on my relationship with my daughter and on myself. Get to where you don't feel that you NEED a partner in your life, and then that's when I think you're ready for one. Just my opinion, and i know it's easier said than done. I'm in the same boat, but trying to resist that want for another male in my life. I want to be able to be strong and independant on my own before I try to incorporate someone else into my life. I've also found that good men come around when you least expect them, and most of the time when you're not looking Smiler Good luck!
