Try this first. Care for a infant or child for a 24 hour period of time, and then re-check where you stand.

Need an infant? I may be able to help.

Hi,

I tried for years to have a child and could not. 4 years ago I adopted a baby boy from Romania. The best thing I could have done. Just like you I was very indecisive. I looked out side the country for lots of differents reasons. My point is adoption is a wonderful way of completing your family provided you're willing to be open and understand there can be disappointments along the way.

Best of luck.

World Association for Children and Parents (WACAP) has created the brochure, Can Singles Adopt?

They invite any single person who has considered adoption to contact WACAP.

WACAP is one of the most respected and experienced nonprofit adoption agencies. WACAP has placed more than 8,000 children with loving parents across the country.

Single women can adopt from China, India, Russia and the USA. Single men can adopt from the USA.

So that single parents wont feel alone during their adoption, WACAP offers special support throughout the process. Each of their adoption programs that accept single parents has a designated Single Parent Specialist. WACAP also offers special consultations with social workers, support groups and helpful staff.

I'm a single mother, I've adopted my son about 6 months ago. I adopted through Faithful Adoption- http://www.faithfuladoption.org . For me as a single parent it was so helpful to use Faithful Community on their website, which allows to communicate with parents adopting at the same time from the same region. I never felt alone. Wonderful experience overall!

hi there everyone i just wanted to say hi and how awsome you all are for wanting to adopt. i was adopoted when i was five years old and i will be forever gratefull to everyone who made it all work. especially my parents because i was very difficult to work with becaue i was neglected and i never got fed so i would hide food in my room so that if i got hungry i would have something to eat later and not have to worry about going hungry. i was a chore but they did great. i am so proud of all of you

Smiler :iloveu: :balloons: :thanks: :huggies:
