Does anyone know of anywhere one could go to get help with adopting a child? My sister and her husband are wanting the husband to adopt my 16 year old neice. They live in Phoenix and the Maricopa County Attorneys Office will take care of the adoption for free but they have to go thru an adoption agency first to get all of the proper background checks etc. done. This is where it is getting costly for them, around $500.00. This is something that they cannot afford at this time and I know that this is very important to my neice. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest they contact all of the adoption agencies near by. All agencies can give somekind of a loan or something to help with the cost.
