I feel like I've come out of a war and won.

Today -- without even having to go to court!! -- I walked away from visiting my son with a letter signed by both my ex and her mother agreeing that starting after Luken's first birthday, I can take him overnight every other weekend.

The first weekend he's going to be here will be June 25-26.

So I've got a little over a month to get a crib set up for him and baby-proof the house (he's a quick little bugger now. And when he can walk more than 5 feet without falling, I'm doomed Big Grin ).

Yay!

Why does he fall after 5 feet ? My experience is: when they can walk, they CAN walk. (Just kidding. )

Congratulations on the agreement ! Sounds great.

Thanks Smiler

Oddly enough, I just realized I'm not nearly as surprised and shocked that I get to take him for weekends as I am that he's going to be a year old! It doesn't seem nearly that long ago that he was born. Where did the time go!

This is really nice to hear.

Remember that when your weekends start, 'mom' will probally be a bit tense/stressed.
It is a very hard thing to hand over complete care of the baby. As well as the simple absence of the child in the house. The silence is awful.

I just wanted to give you a heads up on that, just incase you think she is weirding out .
Haha
Enjoy your weekends!
