I am New to SFV
Posted
Yes, Im a newbie Just thought I would drop a note to say hello from Alberta, Canada. Having been a single mom for over 13 years, I can say its definitely been a rollercoaster ride! I have full custody of my children, who are both teens now *sigh* daughter 18 and son 15. Their dad has been MIA (no, hes not in the military) for the past 5 years, due to a falling out he had with our kids. Frowner I believe his new family (wife and two children) are now the focus of his life, which is unfortunate in this day and age of blended families.

Im pretty easygoing and have a warped sense of humor, which both of my kids appear to have adopted as well. Big Grin Trust me, its that sense of humor that gets you through some of the curve balls or tests that life tosses at you from time to time.

From a quick review of the forums/posts, it seems as though SFV will be a great resource for me. Undoubtedly, I will be seeking advice from the members here from time to time I sometimes find myself sitting on the fence (getting slivers lol) before I make a decision regarding an issue. In return, if you would like my advice, feel free to ask as I am open and honest with my opinions.

We are all continually learning new things about being a parent, regardless of the age of our child(ren). Ill probably be learning new things about my children even when Im 90 if they let me live that long lol! Roll Eyes

Have a great day! I look forward to chatting with you soon.
