Hi,
I live in Montreal and wanted to know if there were any parents from that region. If so, do you know any single parents organization in the city??? I love doing activies with my 22 months old, but would love to meet other parents and organize group activities.
Thanks!!!

Hi SPC,
Thanks for replying. I lived almost all my life in Ottawa (Orleans region). I only moved to Montreal 2 years ago. I'm thinking of going back to Ottawa in 1-2 years since all my family is there. Plus, it's such a beautiful and quiet city.

Take care,

Hi Smile at life,

I am in the west of Ottawa...just moved from the east end. If your family is Ottawa, what prompted you to move to Montreal? I love Montreal by the way...I almost moved there to complete a Therapy program they have there at Concordia.

Hi SPC,
I moved to MTL for two reasons... I was first convinced to move here by my son's father. The second reason is my job. While in Ottawa, I was applying for positions in both cities and ended up receiving a good offer here. Montreal is a great city. I'm simply not convinced it's for me. Plus I have to travel 2 hours anytime I want to see my family.

Take care,

Smile-at-life...

I realize this post is a couple of months old...have you moved to Ottawa yet or are you still in Montreal?

Hi SPC,
I hope you're doing well. I will leave Montreal in the Summer of 2009 (My son will start school in Fall 2009). I am not certain that I will go Back to Ottawa, I'm still undecided as to where I want to establish my life.

Thank you for asking and take care.

Hello, I live in Montreal and I'm two months pregnant. I want to stay here even though I'm from Ontario because I want my child to be bilingual. Also, I grew up in the country and I think it will be better for me and my child to stay in the city. That way when my kid's old enough for post-secondary education, she can live with me while she goes to school. (I don't know the gender yet, I just don't like to say "it.") The reason why I didn't finish university was because I couldn't afford living expenses and tuition at the same time and I'd like university to be more accessible for my child. There seems to be a lot of fun things for kids here too, like the Insectarium and La Ronde. Where I grew up we just had tobacco fields.
