Hi all Canadians!!!!!!
I am from the US and I have done extensive research on Toronto. I am a single parent of a bi-racial son and I REALLY want to move to Toronto. I have spoken to immigration, taken the test, waiting to complete my BA so it will hopefully be easier for me to get in. Can any of you please give me some advise. I really need to make connections so we won't be all alone in the big city. I am eally hoping to move there in the next year. Please help, I LOVE Canada!!!!!!!!! :thanks:

What is the motivation for the move? Just curious.

It sounds like you are doing alot to prepare for the move. Good for you.

Thanks for the replies everyone. To the one asking my motivation for the move. Well I have lived here in the states all of my life and heard so many wonderful things about Toronto from everyone that has visited and lived there. I really like the fact that its the most multicultural city in the world and it has a very low crime rate compared to here in the US as you know. I think it would be a wonderful place to raise my son. There are so many factors that I like about Canada as oppossed to here. Canada really takes care of it's people, UNLIKE here. This is a very selfish greedy society I live in and I really don't want to raise my child here.
Well like I asked if anyone has ANY suggestions about moving like how to find jobs and places to live. I need more resources in those departments so I can send off resumes for work.
Thanks for your support!!

I live in Vancouver and we're known for our multiculturism as well .. I'd have to say more so than Toronto .. and I've been there as well.

You've come to the right place. Let us know when you make your final move.

Smiler
