HI there...I am in TO...I taught in Stoney Creek while I attended McMaster. I have a daughter whose 7th b-day is SOO SOON...as she reminds me daily. I just found this site recently and it's a great! I've been "officially" on my own since my baby was 10 months, but hubby had exited lond before that. Hope you have tons of suppport from family!

Hi everyone,
I just signed up on the site. I am in Mississauga. I am a single mom of 17 month little girl. Her dad and I separated when I was 4 months pregnant cuz he got himself a girlfriend. It has been 2 years and I have been doing really well, but recently my little girl has been sick and some tests have to be done and I am feeling very down and lonely. Cried all day yesterday. Looking for new friends... to chat with and even hang out with who are in the "single" parent life like me.

Hi there...welcome! I have been on my own since mid1999. Mydaughter was 10 months old when her dad found a fresh face to chase. I have walked the path and am proud... but often lonely too.

I find it unusual that there are no newpostings in your support, or maybe therehave been, but the monitors seem to shave cleaned houe lately. Welcome!! I too have been on my own for longer than I care to think about. Getting by isn't easy, but everyday I promise myself that I will find at least one thing to laugh about. There is often more occasions to laugh than that. ?For what it's worth, I've learned these lessons:

- never have specific expectations
- never expect anytjing to happen as "it should"
- know that you always have another chance to do better than you did today
- you are a good enough mom

I hope you find support in the site...it's hard to find the time to check in, but do post when you can. This site is a great.
