I am new to this group. I am a single parent in San Antonio, Texas and to date very frustrated.

I having been paying for college for some time. I recently transfered to a local christian university and have applied for financial aid. They have come up with one excuse after another to keep me from getting any aid at all. Since I have used up my entire savings and have no money left I do not have the money to continue at this time. I will be dropping out after this semester. I am so angry that I can't get any help, unless I apply for welfare, which I don't need. Does anybody know of any scholarships for single parents or any aid I can try to get. It's to late for the fall semester so I will have to drop out no matter what happens.

I am so angry right now, I don't know if I even want to go back for awhile.

Hi, I am new to this site, I live in Houston and am kind of new to the single parent thing. I got out of a 10 year relationship with the father in April 2005. I am still trying to adjust and figure out what I need to do. I had to take a while to figure out myself first and now I am ready to focus on being a single parent and doing the best I can for my son. I am working full time and trying to get an online degree right now. Trying to get my life straight and keep it that way as much as that is possible.
