I am New to SFV
Posted
I have looked to see if anyone is from New York. I am new here. Lonely yes not many friends. Love to make some new friendships. Going through a tough time. Daughter is with her father for five weeks and the only friend who stuck by me after getting pregnant doesn't understand the strain I am under being away from my daughter for five weeks. Oh those sleepless nights going on the fourth night and still counting. Will I look like a zombie???? Laugh I hope not! Well let me know if you would like to talk I am looking for some New Yorkers but if you are close by or far away it doesn't matter I am open to anything. I am a talker/typer but I love to hear from others. It has been hard because I am so shy at first and now what my daughter sees in her mother she does it too! Thats not good. I had her teacher tell me this. My heart sunk. She is very much like her mom but not completely I have a story and nearly put her in the same predicament but got out and doing so much better. I am not an expert but I am a good listener and have seen alot in life ever since I was 2 years old and I am nearly 29! Any one up for a chat I am easy going and will not judge because being on the side who gets judged it is not pretty so why turn around and judge others? I just live life, have my panics here and there and enjoy this life I have been dealt. So take care single parents! We survive still manage and we are no different! Just a challenge!
SMILE!!

Hi, Melissa and welcome to SFV! This is a great place to share and listen and not feel like everyone is judging you. We've all gone through our share of hard times and I'm sure we'll all have many more to come in the future. I'm sorry that you feel so lost right now w/your daughter away, but at least her father is a part of her life and she gets to have a great relationship w/him. That is extremely important and not all children get that.

Know that this too shall pass and sooner than you might think. You can feel free to share and read and learn and teach here. It is a safe haven for all of us to learn and grow and help each other. I wish you all the luck.

As a side note, it really isn't safe to include personal information such as email addresses, home addresses, phone numbers or the like in open forums. This is a public site and has been in the past accessed by spammers. I would hate to know that you came here looking for support and ended up w/more than you bargained for from those w/little to no respect for others hardships and triumphs. If you and another member of this site would like to communicate on any level other than these open forums, you can and should feel free to exchange personal information via the PM (Private Messenger) icon in each and every post. All you do is click on the envelope icon at the top of the post of the person you wish to send a PM to and then type a message. It can only be seen by you and the person you intend it for.

Thanks I was touched by what you said. And I will keep that in mind in regards to the email. I am computer savvy as they would say so what I don't know I trash it.
Yes I am sure the time will fly but I am a bit antsy her father is planning for her to go to his country and I still waiting to hear if that is happening. I am just nervous because he may be in her life but he is arrogant, very rude, and quite manipulative when it comes to dealing with me in regards to our daughter.
But that is the case of the ex I guess. We had a major culture conflict. He expected women to be one way but I was brought up to be independent and learn to do things for myself not for someone else (unless they can't take care of themselves such as my daughter). So it may have been 7 years but it was 7 years of *ell. But hows it down where you are I have family in Florida but more southern Florida. Take care and enjoy the rest of the day!

It's rainy and nasty here today, so I hope it is more beautiful there. I'm glad to hear that you're computer savvy and delete all that you don't know, but I just thought you should know what has happened in the past from spammers that have come on here. It's sad that they do it, but they do.

You say that he is wanting to take her to his country? What country is that? I only ask because you would have to give permission for her to leave the country w/him. My neighbor, who is married mind you, has to have her husband's permission to leave the country w/her 2 daughters when she wants to go to Venezuala to visit her family. I didn't know that until she had to go through all of that. He can't just take her or you can call and say he is kidnapping her. I would be scared of my son going out of the country w/his father. I don't know how you do it. You must be a much stronger person than I am.
