Hi.. what happened to your hand?? Soooo tell me about yourself. As for me I'm 24 years old and have a 6 month old son. I live in Manhattan with my parents, your=nger brother and dog lol. I'm working on the weekends and I hate it. I'm seriously looking into going back to school. But my new life basically consists of spending time with my son, working and going shopping... for my son of course. Anyway hope to hear from you soon.

I am now new to all of this. I live in NYC too. I am probably going to end up moving back with my family outside of NYC. My boyfriend and I decided to split last night. Well, he actually said these exact words, "This isn't a rough patch. We shouldn't be in a relationship. We're kidding ourselves." That was all I needed to hear. It's been five years and he has issues that he works on here and there and I guess this time he doesn't even want to try anymore. I can't force him right? So, it's time for em to pack up and leave. The thing is I'm 5 months pregnant. I'll have to relocate back with my family, look for a job, reapply for medical assistance, etc. I can't continue to live here and be stressed out while continuing with this pregnancy. I cry so much. My blood pressure was high at my last doctor's visit and I feel stressed. I need help! I need support! Please throw me any words of encouragement. I'm really scared to make this move and deal with all of the questions from families and friends.

Sushi,
I was in the same situation. I only found out I was pregnant at 2 mos. My family is very conservative, too. I didn't know how to break the news to them. My BF was not supportive. He wanted me to get rid of the baby. In my fear of how my family would accept it, he made me consider it (which I never thought I ever would). But in the end, I just couldn't so I talked to my sister (who is the closest to me). She help me break it to my parents. It was the best decision I did because instead of hearing recriminations, my parents were very supportive. I can't guarantee you the same results but, usually, parents love their children and forgives. My BF abandoned me and I still cry, too but what makes it easier is that my family is here helping me. Don't be alone if your family can help you. Also, go for child support. Your BF can say he doesn't want to have a relationship with you but he can't deny responsibility for your baby. I'm trying to pursue that right now as well.

My ex left me while I was 3 and a half months pregnant moved to Ga to avoid paying child support. Him abandoning us was the worst feeling, but it is going to take time to be able to move on. Know that you have friends here on the site.
