Welcome to the forum. Go ahead and talk about your situation some and you'll likely get some feedback.

We try to stay away form personal contact info posted in the public forum so I removed that, but it's an active forum so you'll get plenty a chance to talk if you keep coming back.

Hi,

I'm currently pregnant in NJ and facing the probability of single parenthood. I can relate and would be happy to chat.

i was solo from about 6 weeks pregnant on. my daughter just turned 8 months old. i dont have a lot of experience -- but i have more than you LOL.
i'm at exit 98 "down the shore" so if you are central jersey, we're probably close.

If you think you can, or you think you cant - you are right.

Hi Laurie,

Nice to hear from you! I have felt like a zombie walking through an alternate universe where nobody really gets what I'm going through, even though I have many dear, sweet, supportive friends, I have to do this on my own and I'm completely unsure of how/what to do. I'd like to talk with you. I'm near Princeton but happy to be mobile. Any ideas, advice, or direction from anybody would be MUCH APPRECIATED! I'm at a loss for everything from affordable/good child care, custody issues when the parents aren't married, child support, affordable housing, ad nauseum, but those are the ones that keep me awake at night right now.
Thanks!

We all three should hook up! I started out as a single mom when I had my son. Can I ever speak to the child custody, finances, legal garbage, and so on and so on! You feel alone, but believe me you are so very much like a whole lot of other folks.

Hi to both of you!
I'm about 15 mins. from Plainsboro. I'd love to meet up with the both of you! Just having so many struggles and decisions to make that make my head swim!
The father of the baby currently wants us to move in together as roommates so we can both be with the baby and "see if our relationship evolves (back??) into more than just a friendship once things are more settled." I'm so torn, as the financial costs would be considerably more doable and there would be less stress about that, but would the emotional stress of living in that situation be overwhelming. I don't really know how I feel about him at the moment, and don't feel I can decide until after the baby's born, when some sanity returns.
Ugh! sigh! sorry to rattle on, but this is just constantly on my mind at the moment.
