Hello Everyone!
I am very new to the group and have no idea where to even begin. My name is Niecey Colette and Cass is a nickname I gave myself in memeory of my favorite musician Cass Elliot from The Mamas And The Papas.
Anyhow.......I am a 40 year old Single Mommy to 3 small children due to my significant other having alcohol related issues and not in the household right now. It happened suddely, and I am at a loss. I am very depressed and alone, and I sometimes get very overwhelmed with being alone and responsible for everything for me and the kids from bills to just keeping the household going. I have no real friends, and family support. Then our vehicle was too costly to keep on the road and now we have no way to get around. I can go on and on but I'd rather not it's too depressing. I am actually hoping to find some new friends and support out here on this line, and HOPEFULLY / POSSIBLY I can connect with others who may be local to me. I am in a town called Cheektpowaga, New York which is a small suburb right out of Buffalo. I'm in Erie County. I welcome anyone who feels that they would like to get to know me and be a friend to me! I need support, and I am here to support you all as well. Thanks for reading thus far and I'd like to hear from people.

Hey Cass2, Welcome Aboard! You will find that you are among people who know exactly what you are going through and feeling. I think we've all "Been there, done that" in our own way. Sorry to hear you are having financial difficulties right now. I am assuming that you are not getting any support from your "significant other" at this time. Are you working? Not being nosy, just wondering if you are taking advantage of the state helping you out right now. My ex is an alcoholic also, who spent alot of time out of work. He is working now. I have no idea where Erie County is, so I don't really know what you have avaiable to you there. Just to let you know, you are among friends, and can pm me anytime also if you need to talk. You posted kind of late last night, so I expect you will be getting alot more responses today when everyone is up and about. Please keep us posted, we care about how you are doing out there.
