I keep on trying to see if someone out there is from around here. This town is dead. There is no support groups for single parents and no programs out here anymore to help single parents. Or a parent who's spouse is incarcerated. The system doesn't care about us. We all have to stick together and care for each other. Sad but true. Thank God for this site. I had joined a site here in my area. WNY Mommies, but it was all married moms. Happliy married moms, and when I inquired none of them understood my situation. One woman had enough nerve to tell me that she knows what it's like to be a single mom cause her hubby is at work all the time and she is at home with the kids. Ya know I had to tell her...Um no that is not the same. Cause at some point that husband comes home and takes care of you, the kids, the bills and whatever else ya know? They were not understanding at all. Not the place for a single mom. Ok.....Hope someone drops me a note soon.
