Hi,
I had met a mama on this site and she was great. My son and I went and visited her and her daughter in Maryland and had a really good time. We had been talking for almost a year. Well she has recently stopped calling and emailing me. I don't see her on line anymore and she won't take or return any of my calls. Last time she emailed me giving me some lame excuse about having lost her cordless, which is understandable but she had a cell. I don't know what to think. I know she had been sick and really down lately. But she used to always be online, or reply to my emails if she couldn't call. I feel like she is intentionally avoiding me. I don't know what I did wrong. ANybody have some advice? Red Face :badday:

I know it isn't going to be what you want to hear, but I think it is time to move on. I think it is sad that someone has to come up w/a lame excuse about losing their cordless. How do you lose it anyway? Isn't there a paging feature on them? I know mine has one! Anyway, you can't force people to be your friend. Let her go and make new friends. There are people coming in constantly. Good luck!

Take it from someone who has been participating in chat rooms and message boards for 10 years...internet friendships come and go. Sometimes the other person gets bored. Sometimes they just move on with their life and decide to drop everything (and everyone) they met in a certain place. I've made as many friends as I've lost. The true friends have stuck around through all sorts of nonsense.

All you can do is stick around and open yourself up to forming new friendships. Like Ty's Mom said, there is a constant influx of new people. Big Grin
