http://www.geds-to-phds.org/ I'm a parent Leader and on Calworks attending College full time~I just got back from Capital Hill speaking out about poverty and welfare rights! I'm alone the father commited domestic violence towards me and is in jail...I had to stay in a shelter and gain control of my future and emotional state...one thing I would like to add is get the education you deserve.The money you recieve from aid doesn't go towards income to report to Calworks and "federal work study" you work 20 hours that doesn't get counted toward income so going to College Pays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
