Hi Erin, I am in the Bay Area! I am also new to this board but not to being a single mama. My daughter will be 6 next week and I've been going at this alone since I was four months pregnant.

Erin, I currently live in Hayward. I grew up in San Leandro (my parents still live there) and my daughter goes to catholic school in San Leandro. I work in Oakland.

Thanks Don. I don't get to come here to often but like what I see. I'm in the South Bay specifically. I've come here a couple of times and hope to use it more as a resource for being a single mom. Currently trying to date a guy but i'm having some internal conflicts. On one hand I really like him and he is a great guy. On the other hand I really like be single right now. Tough call. I don't want to lose him but I like my freedom.

mommy4life, just be sure to talk about that with this guy. Let him know how you are feeling, and go from there. It might help solve some of your internal conflicts, and surely will save some possible external conflicts down the road between the both of you.
