I feel horrible today.....i'm very very sick from all of the tests they did today and the shot, i didnt get any sleep because i am coming to the realization that I am about to be a mom in the next couple of months and that scares the shyte out of me FrownerFrownerFrowner I am just so scared that I am not ready for this. I keep wondering if I am going to be a good mom, if i'm going to do the right things, yes I know i'm going to make mistakes, but am I going to make too many of them. I had a horrible dream last night that has me all worked up, plus today was my thrid trimester check up and they were talking to me about giving birth which also scares the shyte out of me......that big thing coming out of that little thing....I know thousands of woman have done it but not me....and i'm scared......ok, ok enough from me, i'm done with my whinning for the day, now i'm going to go and get sick again....

Breathe . .. relax . . . you will be fine. Every mom has that freak out moment I think. I know I did and it wasn't pretty. I still have moments where I ask myself "what the **** are you doing having a child?" I am terrified that I'm gonna screw her up but yah know, I'm really not going to. Just as you are not going to.

As long as (which I know you are) you care for, love and keep that little girl close to you, you have nothing to worry about. I know you are going to be a good mom and I have faith in you that you are going to do a fabulous job.

Giving birth scared the shyte out of me as well but you dont even think about it when you have the little one in your arms. Smiler

Oh Jenn...You are ALREADY a fantastic Mommy to baby Addie!! I know all to well the feeling of being alone & pregnant & it is different from the "normal" mom to be fear! You doubt everything about yourself & the choices you make! And let's face it if things s(rew up you are the ONLY one to blame!! Now that's some freakin' preassure...add hormones & forget about it!! You are brave, strong & independent!! You made an amazing choice to enter into motherhood with a love that is beyond words..just wait till you see that little angel's face for the first time & just for that one moment you will be more sure than you have ever been in your life about anything that you made the right chioce & You were MEANT to be her Mom!! It will pass and there will be a whole new set of anxieties fueled by hormones (yegh unfortunately your body doesn't just get rid of them immediately...LMAO) and also by the sleep deprivation!! But now with the "there's no turning back" fear & then w/ the "I just can't do this" fear...You ARE & WILL BE A GREAT MOTHER!!! We love you & Addie will show you a love you never thought possible....it really is a BLESSING!!!

I think that "freaking out" part is one of the things that indicates that you ARE a good mother. Think about it - you realize what a big deal this is, and how important it is.

I, too, have had many days when I've cried and lamented on doing the wrong thing with my daughter. It is such a normal thing to feel.

But don't let the negative thinking stick around too long. Know when to pick yourself up and move past it, too. Venting here is a great way to get it out of your system so you can move on.

You're doing great as a mom. Your daughter is lucky to have you!

GASP!!! Such language,ladies. Big Grin

A nurse friend of mine described the process as "shittin' a cinder block". Yeah, so....bring on the Demerol drip and the Epi block.

Epidurals are heaven! They are wonderful. I tried to be the warrior then I couldn't breathe so they basically said, I think you should consider an EPI. My sister was crying because she wanted me to get one and begged me to. so I did. no pain, just pressure. it was alright. The needle didn't even hurt, although I will say I was thankful for the EPI . . . 100+ stitches were not fun!

Don't listen to all the horror stories Jenn!
I am actually a wimp also and I did not have any drugs---only because by the time I asked I was ready to push him out and it was too late!

You already have been through major surgery and survived that and all I can say is yes you will feel pain but this is a good pain!!!

LOL not everybody gets stitches. I had mine a few other women's share of stitches but I'm thpecial. LOL

2 things you should always remember when having a baby. Those hot showers afterwards are the closest thing you can get to a narcotic and take extra-soft toilet paper to the hospital with you. The industrial sand-paper they have just isn't kind to the behind.

The VET HB??? That's just mean. Razzer

Jenn, I had stiches cause Kai had the cord wrapped around her and came out like lightening. Its rare that that happens.

Things will be fine. Just remember, no matter what anyone tells you, everyone is different. For all we know, you'll have fast, easy and a scar free delivery Smiler

Just so ya know, even with an epidural you can have them numb that perinium so even if there is some slight tearing, you won't feel a thing. Most women who have any tearing at all only have a little that either requires no stitches at all or 1-2 tops. I'm REALLY little so I ended up with 33 with Alex and more than 12 with Katie. I had a sceduled c-section with Ryan !!YAY!! since the other 2 were so little and still did that kind of damage. They were 7lbs 2ozs and 6lbs 14ozs and neither of them were more than 20 inches long. Ryan on the other hand was 8lbs 1oz and 22 1/4 inches long.

Alex and Katie's sister-in-law's last baby was 9lbs 12 ozs and she had no stitches what-so-ever. So unless you're teeny like me, you should be fine!
