I am New to SFV |
Hi to ALL! I am new here so bear with me. I am a single parent with a little boy of four ( who is my world!). I have been separated from his father for almost year years and i have been battling with a divorce proceedure for a year and several months. (Not a nice one, lots of tears and pain.)I am a teacher in a FE College and find juggling work, life, etc at times stressful. Like most here. My ex husband and myself do not get on and i will never get on with him as time goes on. i have been asking hime for finacial support, in fact arguing with him for financial support. My ex gave me 3000 3 years ago and believes that he has done his duty. He explains that when his sees his son at weekends or any other day, he will provide him some food to eat and maybe some clothes. He tells me he has a wardrobe of clothes at his flat for our son. He refuses to give me even 1.00. I have told him that i have to pay alot of bills that concerns his son. My son attends the breakfast and after school club. I take him school at 7.30am and pick him up at 6pm. This costs money. I also teach some nights to make ends meet and have to pay a babysitter 7.00 per hour!. I have stopped him from seeing his son, but he still turns up at the flat and i refuse to let him see him until he can show some responsibility. My son is going to be circumcised soon and i asked him for help in paying the hospital fee. i gave enough notification and he didn't. I paid the fee myself. What can i do? I have got in touch with CSA and i am waiting for a reply. The money is not for me as i can manage. The money is for my son.

Hi and welcome to the site.
The CSA can be slow.I can't think of how hard it is,going to teach at night and the majority goes back to the babysitter.Sounds like a catch22 situation. Enjoy yourself here and you are amongst friends, who above all things give the moral support to take everyday as it comes. Mark |

I wish I could give advice but you being in London and me in Texas, I'm sure things are different. I don't know any of the laws over there or anything. However I can offer you someone to talk to, vent to if you need it. Best Wishes.
